Tips for the perfect Wedding Day & Emergency Wedding Day Kit!
|
Have 2 pair of shoes for your wedding day! 1st pair for the ceremony, pictures, etc. 2nd pair of satin slippers, or low
comfortable shoes for dancing the night away! Decorated cloth sneakers work well too! See below my list for your wedding day
emergency kit.
Choose the color of your bridesmaids dresses, then let them choose the style that works best for their body type. If they all
have red silk they all match! I have seen this at several weddings and the bridesmaids are happier and look great!
Lots of Children at your reception? Set aside a couple of children's tables, put small coloring books, and small packs of
crayons, use large coloring book pages as place mats, stickers, bubbles, and any other items to entertain the kids. Make sure the
tablecloth is paper or plastic.
Wedding Cake or Wedding Cupcakes? Several wedding we have performed lately have been using the standard cake plates
and pillars or 3 tier cookie trays. In lieu of a Wedding cake they have Cupcakes! You can save yourself a small fortune on a cake,
have cupcakes instead! They are decorated nicely with fresh or silk flowers, petals, candies, frosting, ribbon, plastic beaded pearls,
mini lights, and more! Stacked on each plate, save the top for your cake topper! Easier for your guests to take a piece of cake
home! Not to mention, you don't have to pay a cake cutting fee!
Etiquette & Divorced Parents
What is the ceremony seating arrangement for divorced parents?
If your parents are divorced and get along they can both sit in the first row. If your parents are divorced and don't get along, your
mother sits in the first row and your father sits in the row behind her each with their spouse/date.
Who walks me down the aisle, father or stepfather?
Unless you haven't had any contact with your father then he gets the privilege of walking you down the aisle. Etiquette states that
rule. We think you should choose the man you feel the closest to. At some weddings we have performed both father
and step-father walked the bride down together! Etiquette states this is tacky. We don't agree! We think this is 2 mature,
important adults in your life, participating, putting their differences aside and giving their blessings on your special
day!
